The Friends of the Huachucas offer a wide variety of opportunities to volunteer:
Greeters: Volunteer to spend 4 hours either on a Saturday or Sunday up at the Carr House in beautiful Carr Canyon. Greeters open the house to the public, provide information, and answer questions about the Huachucas. Training is provided. This is a very low stress way to offer your time.
Guided walks: Volunteer to take the public on an easy nature trail to the historic Todd/Healy ranch. Training will be provided on the history of the ranch and the common flora and fauna you may come across.
Trail maintenance: Volunteer to maintain our nature trail and the area around the Carr House. All tools are provided.
Offices and the Board: Volunteer to become an officer or to be a member of the Board of the Friends of the Huachucas. Work with the Sierra Vista Ranger District of Coronado National Forest on a variety of issues.
Site Host: Bring your RV to our hook-ups and spend a few months in the beautiful canyon. The RV pad is located directly behind the Carr House. This opportunity is coordinated with the Ranger District.
